CAE Analysis of Spur Gear Group

Abstract: In this paper, a 3D model of spur gear is established by using CATIA. The stress, strain and total deformation of gear group is analyzed by ANSYS, while subjected to the torque. The first six natural frequen-cies and the gear deformation is obstained by modal analysis. The analysis results show that the stress and strain on tooth root and tooth surface of gear group is lager under the condition of meshing transmission, so the failure of tooth root and tooth surface should be avoided to ensure the reliability of gear transmission.
