Research on the Origin and Development of Modern Chinese Civilization based on Dialectical Thinking

Abstract: In the view of Marxism, scientific research should be based on facts and find out objective laws from realistic things, instead of blindly carrying out abstract analysis. So should the theory of civilization. Throughout history, human civilization has existed for thousands of years. In the long history, the civiliza-tions of various regions and nations are varied, rich and wonderful. Civilization is the product of predeces-sors’ continuous exploration. It can satisfy people’s basic needs and express people’s thoughts and attitudes. However, due to the difference of environments and backgrounds, different civilizations have their unique historical and cultural characteristics in the way of expression, showing rich and colorful features and obvious differences among them. From the viewpoint of materialist dialectics, the commonality of civilization and the particularity and diversity of civilization are not the opposite, but dialectical and unified, and their commonality lies in particularity and diversity. The purpose of this paper is to use the standpoints, viewpoints and methods of Marxist dialectical thinking to comprehensively and systematically study the problems concerning the development of modern Chinese civilization. While studying the theory of civilization, it also closely links China’s reality and carries forward the excellent traditions of Chinese civilization.
