The Development and Trend of Highway Pavement Management System

Abstract: In recent years, highway construction in China has been unprecedented development, the total mi-leage ranked first in the world. A large number of completed expressways have brought great convenience for people to travel, but also played a great role in promoting economic development. However, due to the short history of highway construction in China, pavement management technology is not mature, has not formed, management experience is not rich. Therefore, under the coupling of driving ｌｏａｄ and natural environment, a large number of diseases appear on the expressway, which weakens the service capacity of the expressway and reduces the service life of the expressway. So that the highway should not give full play to the social and economic benefits. Therefore, highway needs timely and proper maintenance management and active preventive maintenance, which can greatly prolong the life of expressway. In this paper, the research background and function of expressway pavement management system are introduced, the discovery of expressway pavement management system at home and abroad is summarized, and the existing problems and future development trend are analyzed.
