Research on Improvement and Application of Prevention and Cure based on the Sunlight Blinding Effect of Tunnel Exit

Abstract: The entrances and exits of tunnels are the areas with high incidence of traffic accidents. In addition to human factors, natural factors are also the cause of accidents.  In the early morning and evening on a sunny day, the position of the sun is low. Drivers driving from the east-west tunnel exit will be blinded by the direct sunlight, which can easily cause traffic accidents.  This paper analyzes the formation mechanism of sunlight blinding effect, summarizes the research progress of anti-glare facilities at tunnel exits at home and abroad, and improves the existing anti-glare facilities, which can provide the maximum anti-glare area for drivers at all times and continuously eliminate the "zebra effect" on drivers' vision as much as possible, it can play a certain role in preventing and controlling the blinding effect of sunlight.
