A review of the Research on the Effect of Vegetation on the Self- repair of Unstable Slope

Abstract: China is a mountainous country and its mountainous area is very vast. In the highway engineering facilities construction will be a large number of excavation of the mountain, filling embankment so that it will cause surface exposed slope. This exposed slope might frequently Induce landslide, debris flow and other natural disasters and destruct along the slope of the original vegetation, ecological environment and natural landscape. The existing research theories and methods still have some shortcomings although most of the measures are vegetation slope protection which not only to strengthen the slope but also restore the environment. This paper summarize the main conclusions of the present vegetation slope by inducing research status of vegetation slope protection. And propose the main contents of the next stage that How does vegetation affect the self - repair stability of unstable slope.
