Abstract: With the continuous development of China's economy and technology, the construction of some large cities is also constantly rising, but as the process of urban modernization is accelerating, the destruction of bridges in urban traffic engineering is also increasing, which is a daily trip for our citizens. It also has a greater impact. Since the 20th century, many destructive earthquakes have occurred in many areas of China, such as the Tangshan earthquake, the Wenchuan earthquake, and the Taiwan Chichi earthquake. Most of the bridges in these epicenters have been severely damaged. At the same time, earthquake-induced bridge damage There are various forms, such as pile foundation subsidence caused by soil liquefaction, failure of connection between pile cap and cap, and falling beam caused by lateral movement of pile foundation. This article summarizes the types of earthquake damage to bridge pile foundations, discusses the failure modes of bridge pile foundations under liquefaction sites, and analyzes the damage mechanism of bridge pile foundations.
