Research Progress of Engineering Geological Characte-ristics and Erosion Resistance of Red Bed Soil

Abstract: Red layer is a kind of special rock and soil, mainly distributed in southwest and northwest of China, with the characteristics of easy disintegration, easy weathering, easy softening in water, poor diagenesis, weak permeability and strong hydrophilicity. There are numerous engineering disasters and accidents caused by the destruction of red bed slope surface.
