Research on the Layout of Land and Coastal Coordination Military Defense System in Liaodong Town of the Ming Great Wall

Abstract: Among the nine towns of the Ming Great Wall, Liaodong Town is the only defensive town that takes into consideration both land defense and coastal defense. It is also the junction of national land defense and coastal defense projects. Its defense mechanism and spatial layout are very special. This article starts from the aspects of history, geography and military system, and analyzes the spatial layout characteristics of the land and coastal military defense system in the Liaodong Town of the Ming Dynasty. It studies the spatial interaction and internal correlation of the land and coastal coordination defense system, and reveals the special land and coastal coordination defense mechanism among settlements.
