Abstract: In view of the current slope reinforcement measures mainly from the destruction of the natural environment of physical reinforcement, while ignoring the effect of vegetation on the slope of the reinforcement. Based on this , this paper establishes weight table of root additional cohesion system based on current theories to analysis different types of vegetation (grass, shrubs, young forest, mature forest)’s additional cohesion with different depth of soil, and numerical method is adopted to analysis the reinforcement effect of different types of vegetation and different slope geometry parameters. The results show the reinforcement effect of mature forest is best, second is young forest, third and fourth are shrubs and grass; with the increase of slope angle and slope length, the reinforcement effect of four types of vegetation are both showing a decrease trend.
