Abstract: In a large reservoir area ,counter-tilt stratified rock slope is common after lifting the water level, and the development thick and thin interbedded hard and soft white rock structures occur large slump. The slump has a bottom-up process of grading sliding characteristics. When the reservoir water, and soak in the scour effect of water level, landslide first slide, slide after slide landslides upper landslide formed between the upper and lower rock beam. In order to study this kind of rock slope failure criterion in rock beam based on fracture mechanics fracture theory, build energy fracture criterion. The obtained results of the stability analysis and engineering protection measures are important.
