Study on Properties of Red Mud with Coal Gangue Cementitious Material

Abstract: This paper examines the byproducts of red mud and coal industry of coal gangue mixture, the possibility of a cementitious material. Mechanical strength tests were used to evaluate the properties of the cementitious materials. A series of durability, physical and mechanical tests show that the cementitious materials to meet the requirements of the specification standard. At the same time, it also meets the requirements of Environmental Protection Agency emission limits. This proved that the production of the cementitious materials can be as a kind of environmentally friendly technology to recycle the discharged from the alumina red mud and coal industry waste coal gangue.
