A Community Detecting Algorithm for Microblog

Abstract: The community detection is a classic problem in networks which is significant for network analysis and widely used in various areas. However, most of the previous community detection algorithms only consider the topological structure of the networks although only, although it has been widely studied. In this paper, we has improved a community detection algorithm for directed networks based on the local search and information communication theory. Our algorithm makes the community assignments more fitting the real situation of the network. Our algorithm has decreased the CPU time efficiently, and the experimental results on various datasets show that our algorithm consistently outperforms the old algorithm in the same environment.
