The Artistic Conception Translation of the Chinese Poetry

Abstract: The artistic conception is an important issue to be studied in Chinese aesthetics. The artistic conception

is alsothe core and foundation of the aesthetics of Chinese classical poetry. In poetry, the artistic conception

is mainly expressed through the choice of imagery, the arrangement of the rhythm and the use of the

rhetoric. In order to translate the Chinese classical poetry well, translators must have a deep understanding of

the aesthetic features of the Chinese poetry and grasp the aesthetic characteristics of Chinese-English poetry

translation.
